Brent Barlow - TRG Meet The Team

Learn about what motivates the TRG Team in this month’s Meet The TRG Team with Brent Barlow

Welcome to this month’s edition of TRG’s “Meet the Team”. We have been chatting with Brent Barlow, a dedicated teammate at TRG for nearly two years. Brent’s journey with us began as a tyre fitter doing relief work, and through his commitment and leadership, he has progressed to a Leading Hand role with a fantastic crew at Roy Hill.

We explore Brent’s unique experiences, passion for tyre management, and the invaluable contributions he brings to TRG’s family-friendly environment. Discover how Brent embodies our values and plays a pivotal role in driving our success.

1. What inspired you to join TRG, and what excites you most about your new role?

The thought was that it was a new company that was rapidly growing.
I like the daily challenges, the crew I’m working with, and the responsibilities that come with it.

2. Can you share a bit about your professional background and experience in the industry?

I have been a tyre fitter since I was 16 years old. I started in NZ in a small tyre store and then made my way to Australia and into heavy tyres in QLD, then I had a job transfer to WA and have been working in the Pilbara ever since.

3. What motivated you to pursue a career in OTR Tyre Management?

I enjoy the work and the people that are involved in it. No day is ever the same.

4. What do you hope to achieve or accomplish during your time with TRG?

During my time with TRG, I hope to put my best foot forward and help mentor my peers. Leading by example, motivating the team and being a good leading hand.

5. What attracted you to TRG as an employer, and what sets it apart from other companies in the industry?

I was attracted to TRG because it is a family business located in WA, which gives me the freedom to talk directly with the management team in Perth. I also enjoy the family-friendly environment.

6. Is there anything else you’d like to share with the TRG community or LinkedIn audience about yourself or your aspirations?

I have been with TRG for almost 2 years now, I started as a TF doing relief work and have worked my way into a Leading Hand Role with an awesome crew up at Roy Hill.
