We’re proud to have a team of experienced professionals who bring passion, expertise, and dedication to TRG. With over 15 years of experience in the tyre industry, Aron has played an essential role in helping the company grow and establish its reputation. His technical knowledge, leadership, and commitment to excellence make him an asset to our team.
In this interview, Aron talks about his career path, what drew him to TRG, and what he hopes to achieve in the future. Let’s get into how Aron is contributing to TRG’s success and his goal of making a difference in the industry.
1. What inspired you to join TRG, and what excites you most about your new role?
I joined Tyre Response Group because it was a company just starting out, which was the most appealing factor to me. The opportunity to grow with the company and contribute to its development was a major reason for my decision.
2. Can you share a bit about your professional background and experience in the industry?
I have over 15 years of experience in the tyre industry. I started as a trainee tyre fitter in 2004, then took a break midway through my career to work in operations and blast crew shot fitting. I returned to tyres in 2015, working in the civil and mining sectors before moving into other mining tyre companies, which eventually led me to Tyre Response Group.
3. What motivated you to pursue a career in OTR Tyre Management?
It was always a long-term goal for me when I ended up in tyres to get into OTR management sector. It’s a lot more technical than the smaller LV tyres.
4. How do you plan to contribute to TRG’s mission and goals in your new role?
I am working towards growing Tyre Response Group’s reputation and gaining market share for the tyre sector.
5. Can you describe a project or achievement from your previous experience that you’re particularly proud of?
I was part of a team at Roy Hill working on a shared contract, where we ultimately outperformed the competition and contributed to the site’s performance, leading to us winning the contract we now operate on. I’m proud of this because I was there from the beginning, and it was a challenge to get from where we were to where we are today.
6. What attracted you to TRG as an employer, and what sets it apart from other companies in the industry?
Tyre Response Group is different from other companies because they’re more family orientated and more involved and engaged with their employees.
7. How do you plan to collaborate with your new colleagues and team members at TRG?
I always like to step up and contribute for the overall benefit of the team. I focus on motivating my team to do their best and leading by example. I’m also flexible with any work that’s delegated to me and always willing to adapt to support the team’s needs.
8. What do you hope to learn or develop professionally while working at TRG?
I’d like to develop overall better people skills because I’d like to get more experience dealing with the client directly.
9. Is there anything else you’d like to share with the TRG community or LinkedIn audience about yourself or your aspirations?
I’d like to influence more Indigenous people working in the tyre sector, as I am Indigenous myself. I want to help create more programs and opportunities that can provide support and open doors for Indigenous people in the industry.
